Aerospace Precision Machining

The Aerospace machining section specialises in the manufacture and subcontract machining of high complex critical components and precision tooling used in the Aerospace sector.

The department is equipped with CNC milling and CNC turning with an inspection department that has co-ordinate measuring equipment. CNC turning has capacity up-to 750mm diameter x 3000mm and CNC milling capacity up-to 2000mm x 1000mm.

The section runs on 24 hr shifts, with the throughput of many complex parts being less than 3 weeks.
  Burcas are constantly adding to the capacity with more machines planned for 2008 as substantial growth is projected within this area. The Company's latest business plan includes the purchase of the most up-to-date technological machine tools that will reduce throughput time further, and coupled with the enhanced CAD CAM software that is being used, the capabilities of the department are keeping up with the ever increasing pressure of this fast moving industry sector.
